About Us

While Russian-speaking divisions have been launched by nearly every major Jewish organization in NYC, none are ‘for us, by us’. Nash Dom is exactly that.

Founded by a group of successful Russian-speaking Jews in Manhattan, Nash Dom is purely dedicated to community-building for those who feel close to their Russian-speaking Jewish identities and their supporters.

In the spirit of the organization’s name (the Russian phrase ‘our home’), we seek to be a non-denominational space of warmth and acceptance, while holding the bar high for our community’s personal and professional development.

About Our Community

There are few communities that shine as bright as ours. Here are some interesting, fun, and compelling stats about our impact:

The largest group of Russian-speaking Jewish immigrants in NYC is from Ukraine

Of the 5 NYC Boroughs, Brooklyn has the highest concentration of Russian-speaking Jews

  • Is your programming going to be culturally or religiously-leaning?
While our programming is going to be a mix of both, we would say that, on a spectrum between cultural and religious (if one exists), it leans more toward culture.
  • Who is your target audience?
Anyone who identifies as Russian-speaking Jewish and is looking for high quality social, professional and family programming has come to the right place!
  • What if I am Russian-speaking Jewish but haven’t had too many particularly Jewish experiences?
Not to worry, we’ve got your back! Our programming will be non-denominational and accessible, no matter your exposure to Judaism. Whether a lot or a little, you will feel at home at Nash Dom.
  • Will your events have any kosher food?
All of our events will adhere to strict kosher guidelines.
  • What Jewish experiences will Nash Dom focus on?
Nash Dom is thrilled to facilitate lifecycle events, Bar and Bat Mitzva preparations, Jewish holidays, and traditions for its community members. Should any of our members feel ready to join a synagogue, we are happy to advise and connect you on this as well.
  • How can I contact the organization directly?
You can email us at info@nashdomnyc.org - we promise to read it!
